A FIELD of more than 400 at the recent Western Sprint Swimming Club meet did little to faze three young members of the Riverton Aquanauts.

Fourteen-year-old Phoebe Woon, 10-year-old Brandon Ho and 12-year-old Jacob Hale impressed at the competition, all named ‘Top Achievers’ for their results at the meet.

Phoebe and Brandon were named the top female and top male swimmer respectively, while Jacob placed second in the top male category.

Riverton Aquanauts head coach Gemma Herrington said it was a big day for her swimmers, who achieved some great new personal best times.

“It was a very successful day for the club and the team of 31 swimmers improved their times by a massive 189 seconds, or just over 3 minutes,” she said.
