West Coast Karate chief instructor Brian Sullivan said he was proud all three were selected to the national team.

“They have been considered for selection based on past tournament performances at national level-all have won their division at the Australian Open and Australian National Championships on a number of occasions,” he said.

“Their selection is not a surprise, it comes after being at the top of their divisions in Australia for some considerable time.

“We expect all three will account for themselves well and are hoping that they are all successful.”

The Oceania Karate Championships will be held in New Zealand from May 18 to 20.
