The men were unable to follow suit, suffering a 21-point defeat at the hands of the Slammers.
The Tigers held a 6-point advantage at half time, only to be outscored by 21 points in the third quarter.
Southwest dominated on the glass, out-rebounding the Tigers by 14.
The Tigers will travel to WA Basketball Centre next weekend to take on the Perry Lakes Hawks.
