Tigers claw one win in tough round

Both basketball teams lost the Friday night contests against the Stirling Senators. In the women’s game, the Tigers lost by eight points despite shooting 45 per cent and holding the Senators to 35 per cent from the field.

Four Tiger players scored in the double figures, with Mikayla Pirini leading the way with 14 points.

But the Senators shot 24 more freebies than the Tigers.

The men also dropped their game on Friday, losing to the Senators by 15 points.

They bounced back one night later when they took down the Goldfield Giants by three points.

Jacob Reed hit a game high of seven three-pointers while John Dickson turned in a big game with 33 points and 17 rebounds.
