Tigers rebound to eclipse the Suns

The Willetton Tigers men’s team continued their winning streak, defeating the Suns 111-99.

The Tigers were able to out rebound the Suns by 15, while forcing them to commit 20 turnovers.

Team imports John Dickson and Quinn McDowell poured in 31 and 32 points respectively.

Nebo Franich provided a huge lift off the bench in his best outing of the year, scoring 10 points and grabbing eight rebounds in 15 minutes of play.

Jacob Reed and Mitch Clarke also contributed to the winning effort by shooting a combined 45 per cent from the field and snatching 10 rebounds.

The Tigers women struggled to find their rhythm against the Suns, shooting 30 per cent from the field and committing 23 turnovers in an 80-52 loss.

Antonia Edmondson and Mel Marsh turned in solid performances for the Tigers scoring 33 of the team’s 52 points.

The Tigers’ next home game is on Saturday, May 3, when they host the Mandurah Magic.

The women’s game will start at 6pm and the men at 8pm.
