Sitting on top of the Western Australian Basketball ladder, the Willetton Tigers have been selected to participate in the under-14 Boys National Basketball Championships.
Only one of three Western Australian teams invited to play, the athletes will head to Albury, New South Wales to compete.
From September 26 to October 5, the team will play for top spot against 24 club teams from around Australia.
Team manager Paul Tucek said the boys had been playing together for three years and had been training hard in the lead-up.
His hopes for the team are simple.
‘To win, but to all play at our best and do the best we can against every team,’ Tucek said.
‘The team has worked very hard over the past three years to go undefeated, so it is very exciting to represent Willetton Tigers as a club at the national championships.’
The club has a movie fundraiser night on Saturday, August 16.
