Tigers win one, lose some

The Willetton women split the two games, winning on Saturday night against the East Perth Eagles, but dropping their contest against Rockingham on Sunday afternoon.

The Willetton men played tough against two of the top teams, but lost both games by a combined 20 points.

Ebony Antonio poured in 26 points and grabbed five rebounds against the Eagles, spurring the Tigers to a 12-point win.

The Tigers found their touch from outside, shooting 46 per cent from the field and 40 per cent from three-point range.

Antonia Edmondson scored a game-high of 30 points in Sunday’s game.

The men struggled defensively, giving up more than 100 points in two straight games.

East Perth was dominant from the outside, shooting 52 per cent from the field and 48 per cent from three.

In a similar fashion, the Flames hovered around the 50 per cent shooting mark while knocking down eight triples.

Willetton will host the Stirling Senators on Saturday, May 18. The women’s game tips at 6pm and the men’s at 8pm.
