The Willetton women turned in a strong performance, dominating the Slammers on both ends of the floor.

They out-rebounded the Slammers by nine and held them to 35 per cent shooting from the floor.

Lisa Wallbutton had a great game, with 22 points, eight rebounds and 53 per cent shooting from the field.

The men churned out a quality effort in their 123-110 win over the Slammers.

Nic Cody had a career night with 30 points, eight rebounds, five steals and two assists.

In a strong defensive performance, the Tigers outrebounded the Slammers by 12 and forced them into 20 turnovers.

The Tigers men went down 125-116 to the Lakeside Lightning on Saturday night. Star import John Dickson scored 26 points and Cody continued his strong form with 20 points.

The Tigers women went down by a solitary point, 63-62, to the Lightning but are still only a game outside the eight.
