Tough round for Tigers with a double defeat

The Tiger women’s basketball team endured a nine-point defeat despite out-rebounding the Senators by 16 on the boards.

They only managed to convert on 28 per cent of their field goals and 11 per cent of their three-point attempts.

Antonia Edmondson, Mikayla Pirini, and Lisa Wallbutton all reached double figures with Wallbutton pulling down a game-high 19 rebounds in the process.

The Willetton men saw a six-point half-time lead evaporate as they got pulverised on the boards by 12 in the second half.

Willetton also struggled to connect from the outside, shooting 41 per cent from the field and 23 per cent from the three-point line. The Senators shot 47 per cent from the field and dished out 13 more assists than the Tigers in an 18-point win.
