Mr Nixon said the board wished Mr Black well in his new position overseas.

“The board wishes Alan well with his appointment and thank him for his contribution to the Willetton Basketball Association,” he said.

“Alan’s service as head coach of our SBL program has been greatly appreciated. He has established important building blocks in our SBL program which gives the club confidence of a bright future.”

Mr Black said the decision was not an easy one.

“It was a tough decision to make as the Willetton Tigers are such an important part of my life however the opportunity from a career perspective was too good to pass up,” he said.
