THE Willetton Tigers’ women are ready to go up a level for their first home game, according to head coach Simon Parker.

Fresh from two straight wins to open their 2018 season, the Tigers are eager to make it three in a row when they take on the visiting South West Slammers on Thursday.

Parker said it was one of the last chances for fans to watch import Sami Whitcomb in action before she returns to the United States and the WNBA competition.

“We love playing at home, the fans are very important to the team, it’s a very close community,” he said.

“We just about have a full house at home games and the girls love playing in front of our fans and showing off their talent.

“The fans will also get to experience Sami playing for us which is great.”

Parker said the team had one big goal in mind – to win all of their home games in 2018.

“You definitely go up a notch at home, we want to make sure the people who support us are getting rewarded,” he said.

“You don’t want to lose on your home courts so one of the goals this season is to make sure we win every game at home – we will definitely be trying harder.

“We’re just hoping it’s going to be a more successful season this year and hope the fans get on board for the ride.”

Willetton play South West Slammers from 6.30pm Thursday at the Willetton Basketball Stadium.

The men will tip off straight after at 8.30pm.
