Women steady as Willetton men wobble

It was a different story for the Willetton women who continued their resurgence with an 11-point win over the Wolves on Saturday.

A balanced scoring attack proved to be the difference with six players scoring nine points or more.

Ebony Antonio scored 18 points, grabbing four rebounds and dishing out four assists.

Mel Marsh was second highest scorer with 15 points, and Lisa Wallbutton continued her dominance on the glass by snatching a game-high 14 rebounds.

With the win, the Tigers have placed themselves securely in eighth position and in a final playoff spot with two games to play of the regular season.

To end the regular season, the Tigers will play at home on Saturday, July 27.

They will host the Perth Redbacks.

The women’s game starts at 6pm and the men tip off at 8pm.
