FROM flora, insect and bird life to humorous art pieces, Mt Lawley Art Framers is offering an art exhibition for everyone until October 28.

‘Life is short – Here I am’ will include artwork curated by artists and friends Erin Knight and Jaelle Pedroli.

The two creative’s met about 23 years ago when Erin was working as an art teacher at Manjimup Senior High School and Jaelle was her art student.

Their paths crossed again over the years with a chance meeting at a Curtin University Graduation show leading to an opportunity for Mrs Pedroli to complete her teaching practicum with Erin – and the rest is history.

Mrs Pedroli’s exquisite gouache paintings are humorous and positive designs appealing to both children and adults while Mrs Knight’s mixed media works combine rich and opulent textures and colours to create surreal atmospheres of flora, insect and bird life.
