Driver targeted while charging phone in brazen Perth theft

A MAN’S car has been stolen while he was pulled over in Scarborough.

The 46-year-old driver stopped on Brighton Road on Wednesday at 6.30pm to charge his phone.

A man opened the passenger door and entered the car, slapping the driver.

The victim feared for his safety and left the car to seek help, leaving the key in the ignition.

The man stole the car, a white Holden Commodore ute, and it had not been recovered late last week.
