The End, which stars Yangebup’s Anthony Chila, is a story about a boxing coach and gym owner dealing with the death of his wife and the physical injuries sustained during his years in the ring.

Chila, who also co-wrote the script, said the idea for the film had been brewing in his mind for two years.

“I had no experience in scriptwriting so that’s all it was – an idea,” he said.

“Then Sean Schliwa, who is the director, screenplay writer and the character of Lebron in the film, decided to take up the challenge.”

Halls Head resident Nicholas May, the film’s producer, said his team had just recently moved to the filming stage of production.

“The film is coming along well with an estimated December 2016-January 2017 release,” he said.

“I have great faith in our cast and crew’s ability to not just finish the film but make something what we are all proud to have worked on.”
