DELICIOUS baked goods sold in Hamilton Hill have helped raise thousands of dollars for breast cancer advocacy and support.

Bakers Delight Hamilton Hill raised almost $5700 for Breast Cancer Network Australia’s Pink Bun Campaign, beating out more than 70 other bakeries for the title of WA’s biggest fundraiser.

Franchisee Chin Leong Yong said they had supported the Pink Bun initiative since it’s beginning in 2004, adding this year’s total equated to more than 4000 fun buns and 6000 rolls being sold in just four weeks.

“Every Pink Bun campaign we are motivated to work hard and raise as much as possible for BCNA,” he said.

“As the local bakery we really have the power to unite the community and achieve something special.

“We not only campaign in store, we get out in to the community, with local schools, offices and sporting clubs all supporting the cause.”

Locals can continue to support BCNA at their local Bakers Delight store by purchasing a Breast Friend or Enviro tote bag, with 50c from every purchase going directly to the organisation.
