Jessica NicoCockburn Gazette

FOR a decade Centrepoint Church has ensured nobody feels alone on Christmas morning.

This year will be no exception, with the church providing a free cooked breakfast complete with live entertainment, games and prizes, kids zone and a visit from Santa.

Pastor Melissa Bryan said last year’s event attracted more than 300 volunteers and 1000 attendees over three sites in Bibra Lake, Maddington and Byford.

“There are so many people in our community doing it tough or that don’t have family to share Christmas with, and we saw the opportunity to share the joy of Christmas with them,” she said.

“A full cooked breakfast is served, bacon, eggs, sausages, baked beans, hash browns, toast, muesli, yogurt and fresh fruit.

“We want to let as many people as possible know so that Christmas can be something to look forward to, to share hope and for people to see that they don’t have to do life alone.

“There are few other events in Perth that cater for so many on Christmas Day.”

The breakfast is on December 25 from 8.30am to 10am.
