St Jerome’s Primary School: building blocks of literacy

Run by LiteracyPlanet, the online competition aims to help students build literacy skills in an engaging way.

It asks students to create as many words as they can from 15 letter tiles in three minutes.

St Jerome’s acting assistant principal Jayson Peacock said early feedback showed students were enjoying the challenge, which they can play on a desktop or through the free LiteracyPlanet Word Mania app.

“We are hoping our children will enjoy the opportunity to improve their word building skills and deepen their word knowledge,” he said.
