Nadia BudihardjoCockburn Gazette

A CARGO train has derailed after crashing into a car at Perth’s Bibra Lake rail crossing at about 6.45am this morning.

Two cars crashed at the crossing between Bibra Drive and Elderberry Drive, with the collision nudging one of the cars onto the tracks.

The driver managed to get out of the car in time before the train crashed into the vehicle.

North Lake Road between Bibra Drive and Berrigan Drive was closed off for several hours but has since reopened.
