Cockburn Ice Arena earns silver for healthy workplace program

COCKBURN Ice Arena’s focus on good health has earned them recognition under Cancer Council’s WA Healthier Workplace WA program.

The Bibra Lake facility received the silver recognition for their Workplace Wellness Program, which has been running for two years, in acknowledgement of their commitment to health and wellbeing.

Initiatives introduced under Cockburn Ice Arena’s program include the promotion of healthy eating and drinking, a smoke-free workplace policy and end of trip facilities such as showers, lockers and secure bike storage.

Cockburn Ice Arena general manager Calandra Barratt said they took seriously their responsibility to promote good health to staff, patrons and the broader community.
