MORE than 1000 people enjoyed some fun in the great outdoors during the recent Woodman Point Recreation Camp Community Open Day.
Doors to the former quarantine station were open to the public for the event, which included a range of free family friendly activities including a flying fox, rock climbing, archery, reptile appreciation, guided tour of the isolation hospital, bubble soccer and sailing.
Representatives from fire, ambulance and sea rescue were also on hand to give children the chance to explore their equipment and vehicles.
