Dog squad, mounted police; air wing called for Yangebup out-of-control party

AN out-of-control party in Yangebup overnight saw fighting teens, the dog squad and mounted police descend on suburban streets.

Police declared an out-of-control gathering at a house on Harrier Place after 10.25pm last night.

They were called to the house about 9.30pm following a number of calls regarding anti-social behaviour at a party at the Yangebup address.

About 100 young people were in attendance. Police remained in the area and monitored the party.

At 10.25pm, further calls were received by police that a number of people were fighting in the street.

Police declared it an out-of-control gathering and the dog squad, mounted section, air wing and other police resources were deployed.

A number of youths were fighting nearby after leaving the party and police successfully dispersed the groups.

Inquiries will continue into the matter.
