Firefighters bring early morning Bibra Lake blaze under control

FIREFIGHTERS have brought an early morning blaze in the Bibra Lake industrial area under control.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) were alerted to the fire just before 5am this morning after some vehicles caught fire at a scrap yard on Barberry Way.

Firefighters contained the fire and bought it under control just after 6.15am this morning and are currently on the scene mopping up.

DFES have advised some roads in the immediate vicinity of Barberry Way may be closed over the next hour.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and be aware of fire and other emergency services personnel.

At this stage, the cause of the fire is unknown.
