Freo homeless not forgotten at Christmas time

The National Hotel has teamed up with the Fremantle Business Improvement District to host a Christmas-themed long table dinner fundraiser to help St Patrick’s Community Support Centre give local homeless some festive cheer.

National Hotel’s Karl Bullers said they wanted to give back to the community in a meaningful way and invited locals to join them for the three-course meal, which would include wine, entertainment and a visit from Santa.

“This evening is going to be a really special night, not just because all funds raised will go to St Pat’s but also because it will showcase the vibrant community spirit Freo is famous for,” he said.

“St Patrick’s deputy chief executive Michael Piu said they were “blown away” by the gesture.

“To see Fremantle businesses coming together to support the disadvantaged at Christmas really does exemplify that true Freo spirit,” he said.

The dinner is on November 24.
