A HAMILTON Hill artist will have two pieces of work broadcast on the Yagan Square big screen as part of the 2018 Pride WA Pride Parade.

David Carson has created a promotional video for the upcoming pride parade, which will be broadcast at Yagan Square daily until the event night on November 24.

He has also been commissioned to film the parade itself for another art video.

Mr Carson said for him, making videos was “as addictive as playing video games, but much more creative”.

“Usually I make videos based on real things, events, people, places, etc which are distorted into what look like moving abstract paintings,” he said.

“But for the Pride promo I have used a 360 degree video camera to create some pretty amazing visual effects.

“It’s been a pretty hectic few weeks but the goodwill and the energy of the Pride WA people has been unbelievable.

“I think art should amaze people and I hope this does.”
