Hamilton Senior High School (HSHS) will close at the end of the 2017 school year, with LandCorp aiming to transform the site into a thriving residential area.
A LandCorp spokesman said community forums in November and last week were being used to gather ideas for the 15.4ha site.
“The purpose of the community forums is to gather the thoughts of the local community so they can help inform the planning for what is possible on the site,” he said.

Closure of HSHS and sales at the site will help offset the $30 million redevelopment of South Fremantle Senior High School, which is being upgraded to accommodate an amalgamation of the two schools.
Education Department infrastructure executive director John Fischer was confident the re-branded Fremantle College would be finished by Term 1 next year.
“The Fremantle College project is progressing very well, with design and technology facilities, ICT labs and the administration building already upgraded and ready to be used,” he said.
Refurbished art studios, digital media labs, a textiles studio, marine studies laboratory, modern cafeteria, commercial kitchen, refurbished toilets and landscaping are also included in the project.
“At the moment, construction of the new two-storey building at the front of the site is taking place and existing classrooms are being refurbished,” Mr Fischer said.
“The building will include performing arts facilities, student services centre, science laboratories and more classrooms.”
