Jandakot Airport helicopter crash: emergency crews on scene

EMERGENCY services have been quick to act after a helicopter came down in a field adjacent to Jandakot Airport about 3.30pm this afternoon.

A Department of Emergency Services spokeswoman said responding crews took about 15 minutes to isolate the fuel and battery.

Fortunately there was no fire.

St John Ambulance transported one patient, a man aged in his 40s, to Fiona Stanley Hospital.

A spokesman said he was taken at “normal road speed”.

Fire crews from Canning Vale, Success and Murdoch remain on site.
