Junior judges dub Aubin Grove christmas lights as best in Perth

Jessica NicoCockburn Gazette

A PANEL of junior judges have named an Aubin Grove Christmas lights display as the best in Perth.

The panel of eight judges, aged five to eight, enjoyed a bus tour of some of the best houses listed on the Synergy Xmas Lights Trail and voted for their favourite based on colour, lights and ‘wow’ factor.

This year, Clayton Reimers’ Lyon Road display, complete with snow and bubble machines, 9-foot-tall nutcrackers and an indoor display, came out on top.

“We have two daughters aged eight and six and we all just love Christmas, especially being able to get the community together and raise funds that will help sick children,” he said.

“Raising funds for Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation is a great motivation – we have had close family members’ children in hospital and know that this is something you never want to go through as a parent.

“Every night during the week we have hundreds of people coming through and on the weekends this goes up to thousands of visitors.
