THE pending Easter break between school terms one and two might be filling some parents with anxiety, with more than two weeks of children’s activities to prepare.

Fortunately there are plenty of things to do locally.

From Monday, the WA Museum will have a selection of bugs, insects, butterflies and spiders on display at Cockburn Gateway Shopping City.

Gateway spokesman Andrew Wilkinson said the centre was excited to partner with the museum for the first time.

“At Cockburn Gateway, we believe school holidays should be educational as well as fun so there’s going to be knowledgeable WA Museum staff on hand to share some interesting facts about insects and bugs that could be living in our own backyards,” he said

Youngsters can also spend time getting creative at the centre’s craft zone, while there will be photo opportunities and free face painting.

Elsewhere across the City there are a stack of activities available (see below).
