Kids to rock out at free Cockburn Central music workshops

CHILDREN can learn to play that funky music during special Cockburn Rocks workshops in January.

A City of Cockburn grant has allowed the Cockburn Central Town Centre Association (CCTCA) to work alongside the Castlerock Music Academy in hosting a number of free music workshops for local children aged seven to 12 to enjoy.

CCTCA chairman Paul Weir said workshop attendees could learn how to play an instrument, DJ, sing a round of karaoke, write their own songs and play a game of Dance Dance Revolution.

“There will be workshops in drumming, singing, song writing, and performance,” he said.
