LEEUWIN Ocean Adventure Foundation bosun Andy Laurie crossed the Tasman Sea, albeit via the air, to experience life aboard a New Zealand tall ship.

The Woodside Crew Exchange Program opportunity gave Mr Laurie a chance to sail from Wellington to Auckland aboard the SV Tenacious, a tall ship specifically designed and built to be accessible to people with a disability.

During the trip, he was part of regular watch rotations and learned about the ship’s more modern rigging technology.
