Man hid while children slept in chilling home invasion

POLICE are investigating a terrifying home invasion in Munster, during which a man hid and waited for the occupants to go to bed while children slept nearby.

He then threatened the adults with a knife.

The incident occurred on Friday May 17 at a home on Templetonia Rise when a man forced entry into the home.

It is believed the man walked past sleeping children before hiding in a bedroom until the adult occupants went to bed.

The offender then threatened the adults with the knife and demanded keys to their car.

The man fled in their Toyota Corolla and about midnight the car was found burnt out in Port Kennedy.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who can identify the person in the photo below, as this person may be able to assist with the investigation.
