Police charge teenage boy over alleged Gumtree robbery

POLICE have charged a 17-year-old boy from Lynwood over an alleged incident in which a woman selling a belt on Gumtree suffered serious injuries.

The Coolbellup woman was trying to sell the belt online when two males attended her home on Saturday evening to view the item.

One of the males tried to take the belt and got into a car, but the woman followed and held on to the vehicle.

She suffered injuries to her feet and legs.

Fremantle Detectives have charged a 17-year-old boy from Lynwood as a result of their investigation.

He has been charged with two counts of stealing and acts or omissions causing bodily harm or danger.

He is due to appear in Fremantle Children’s Court on February 7.

The investigation is ongoing.
