Cockburn and Fremantle Remembrance Day ceremonies.

 

HAMILTON HILL

Serving and ex-serving members and their families will march alongside community groups, bands and a police escort from the Cockburn Sub-Branch, down Forrest Road and into Carrington Street from 10am.

On Completion, a commemorative service will be held at 11am at the City of Cockburn War Memorial, on the corner of Rockingham Rd and Carrington Street, Hamilton Hill.

FREMANTLE

A memorial service will be held at the Fremantle War Memorial on Monument Hill.

Attendees are asked to assemble at 10.45am for service commencement at 10.55am

BIBRA LAKE

The Nasir Mosque in Bibra Lake will do a Remembrance Day service from 6pm to 7.30pm.

COOGEE

The Friends of Woodman Point will hold a dawn service.

Stephen Wilson, grandson of former Woodman Point Quarantine Station officer-in-charge and World War I veteran Roy McIntosh, will play The Battle’s O’er at the service.

The public is invited to congregate at the Quarantine Station’s Isolation Hospital by 5.50am for a 6am service.

FREMANTLE

A Naval Ceremonial Sunset Service will be held on November 11 from 6.45pm to 7pm at the WA Maritime Museum.

The Kelmscott-Pinjarra 10th Light Horse Memorial Troop will hold a demonstration at the museum earlier in the afternoon from 4pm to 5pm.
