EMERGENCY crews have resumed the search for a man who fell from his yacht while sailing off the Western Australia coast

The 33-year-old fell overboard in Cockburn Sound on Friday while trying to retrieve a dinghy that had blown away.

The dinghy was found at a BP oil refinery near Kwinana Beach, but no trace of the man has been found.

Two other men were on board the yacht at the time, and are safe and well.
