NEWTON Primary School students will soon have a new educational bush tucker garden to enjoy thanks to a recent grant.

Newton PS principal Linda Humphreys said the $200 Bankwest Easy Grant funds would be used to install the bush tucker garden early next year, which in turn would help students with educational nature play.

“The Bankwest Easy Grant is wonderful news as we’ve been working on a long-term plan for a nature playground which will greatly enhance the school play area,” she said.

“Our P&C completed the first phase of the playground last year and it’s really an asset to the school.

“We’re so excited to be moving on with the funding provided by Bankwest.”

Bankwest Corporate Responsibility head Lisa Holley said Easy Grants were designed to help communities at a grassroots level.

Schools, sporting clubs and community groups can apply for a grant or vote for their favourite at www.bankwest.com.au/easygrants.
