SPEARWOOD’S Villa Dalmacia Aged Care is celebrating their 30th anniversary with a community open day.

The celebration will not only give residents a fun afternoon of music, dancing and traditional southern European food, it will also be a chance for the wider community to learn more about the centre and have a friendly chat with the seniors.

Villa Dalmacia Aged Care general manager Lee Hickman said the event would also include a number of display boards and albums showing their progress and development in the last three decades.

“Leading up to the celebrations, a group of residents that enjoy our art activities will be creating paintings with Villa Dalmacia and what it means to them as the subject and these will be showcased in the home on the day.

“There would be no celebration if it wasn’t for our residents, this is a celebration for our residents and a thank you for allowing us to be a part of their life and their home.”

The Villa Dalmacia Aged Care community open day is on April 28 from 2pm to 4pm.
