Talent show coming to The Vale

Jessica NicoCockburn Gazette

FORGET Australia’s Got Talent, the next big talent show is coming to The Vale Bar and Brasserie.

Whether it’s singing, dancing, magic or something a little kookier, the Yangebup venue is on the hunt for entertaining and unique acts for next month’s The Vale’s Got Talent show.

The Vale marketing manager Lisa Moyle said they hoped the event would bring the community together while showcasing the skills of talented locals.

“We are approached regularly by local residents and groups about possibly playing or appearing at our venue and we thought, why not host our own talent show and find the best acts in our local community,” she said.

“It’s really exciting, we don’t believe this has ever been done before on this scale at a venue in Western Australia.”

The competition will involve two live audition rounds on July 13 and 20 followed by the semi final on July 27 and grand final on August 3.

First prize is $6000 and VIP corporate box tickets to Hugh Jackman’s upcoming show in Perth.

Contestants should be 18 or older and email a 30 second video of their act to marketing@thevalebar.com.au.

Registrations close June 30.
