The 21-year-old, who was last year picked as Cockburn’s Inspirational Volunteer of 2015, has impressed colleagues with her compassion and dedication to animals.

Despite studying full-time as a veterinary student, as well as working casually at the Melville Animal Hospital, she still puts in plenty of time as a volunteer and at home nursing sick animals.

Award recipients will be announced at the National Volunteer Week gala awards presentation on May 11.
