Treasured Tots Child Care kids get stretchy with yoga

Jessica NicoFremantle Gazette

GIVING time poor parents the chance to enjoy some relaxation and exercise has inspired Simone O’Brien to bring yoga to two local childcare centres.

The owner of Treasured Tots Child Care in Fremantle and Bibra Lake, Ms O’Brien said she saw first hand how important it was to provide parents with an affordable and convenient way that they could enjoy a bit of exercise and unwind.

However, it was a suggestion from the centre’s cook that swayed her to give it a go.

“Heidi our Yoga Instructor is actually our Part Time cook and she was always chatting to us about the benefits of yoga and how much she enjoys teaching it,” she said.

“For the past 12 months I had been thinking of something extra I can offer our families and staff, something to support them in our busy lives of today.

“Parents always put themselves last, but offering yoga at our centres makes it an easy and comfortable opportunity to have an hour to yourself with no contracts and costs.”
