WEST Australian Alternative Energy (WAAE) has donated a 10kw solar energy system to Assisting Your Life to Achieve Inc (AYLA).

The solar company moved from Busselton to Cockburn a few month ago and owners Sarah and Simon Barclay decided to give back after the non-for-profit organisation warmly welcomed them to neighbourhood.

“We came into AYLA to buy some furniture for the office and were swept away by the energy of the place and what they were doing as independent charity for the community,” Sarah said.

The $10,000 solar system will save AYLA about 30 to 40 per with rebates on its $1600 electricity bill over the next six months. WAAE provides commercial-scale solar energy systems for industrial and agricultural use.
