Yangebup Family Centre hosting Suq Al’ursa family market

Bryce LuffCockburn Gazette

THE Yangebup Family Centre will host a Suq Al’usra this Friday.

‘Suq Al’usra’ is Arabic for ‘Family Market’ and was chosen to celebrate the cultural heritage of staff member Salma Al Saliby, who is originally from Jordan.

Yangebup Family Centre manager Samantha Williams said stalls, multicultural food, a bouncy castle, disco room, sausage sizzle and more would be available.

“We are creating a vibrant centre that is a hub for the local community to come together and everyone is welcome,” she said.
