Opinion: Freight route fraught with frustration

Frank Cherry, South LakeCockburn Gazette

Campaigners for Roe 8 freight link, in particular, Steve Portelli, is demanding that the freight route be built.

One can understand the frustration and constant pounding noise of heavy laden trucks that Leach highway residents have to put up with.

Does the councillor have a house just metres from where the freight route would have passed through?

It is not a rejection against the truckies but where the freight route would have been re-routed, it would not have affected my house but could well have done so.
