HOCKEY players continue to get great use out of the Cockburn Ice Arena.

The facility recently hosted the International Ice Hockey Federation’s World Girls’ Ice Hockey Weekend, a global event with the aim of attracting girls to try out hockey as a new sport.

Co-ordinator Sydney Fricker said 33 participants between the ages of four and 40 took to the ice in Bibra Lake, proving you are “never too young or too old to try” the sport.
