Cricket: opening matches fall foul of rain

Jessica NicoCockburn Gazette

All games in the Premier Cricket competition, including Fremantle Districts’ one-day match against Subiaco Floreat, were abandoned because of heavy rain.

The result might have been a reprieve for Fremantle, who had to play without Ashton Turner, Jake Carder and Jhye Richardson.

Both teams have been given three points for the drawn game.
