MEMBERS of the Melville (formerly Palmyra) Amateur Football Club’s premiership winning B-grade side from 1967 have been invited to a 50th anniversary reunion later this month.

Len Glamuzina, a ruckman in the club’s 16.10 (106) to 8.11 (59) grand final win over Mt Lawley, said the celebration will be held at the Federal Hotel in Fremantle on July 30 from 1pm.

Players, staff, club members and fans from the era, as well as partners, are invited.

“There are lots of good stories to be told,” Mr Glamuzina, a Spearwood resident, said.

The 346-game veteran said the premiership was built off a strong foundation set by the late player-coach Laurie Hunt, who brought a level of professionalism picked up at WAFL level.
