FREMANTLE forward Michael Walters has pledged his future to the Dockers after signing a two-year contract extension.
The deal leaves Walters contracted to the club until the end of the 2020 season.
He was previously contracted until the end of the 2018 season.
List manager Brad Lloyd was pleased with the announcement.
“It’s really exciting news for the club,” he said.
“Michael came in as a fairly late draft pick in 2008 (pick 53), but he’s worked extremely hard at his football to become a really high level player in the AFL.
“He performs week in week out and he’s always around and impacting key moments.
“He’s a player that is really important to us on the field and as a leader at our football club.”
Walters, 26, was voted into the leadership group for the first time in February.
He led Fremantle’s goal kicking in 2013, 2015 and 2016 and has kicked 177 goals in 94 career games.
