Starting judo at eight, Jordon has since won 36 gold, 11 silver and three bronze medals in various State, national and international competitions.
The Fremantle resident’s 2017 has already proven to be no different, winning gold at the ACT International, the Queensland International and the WA State Championship, while he also prepares to take on some of Australia’s best in June’s |nationals.
Training six days a week at Southwest Judo Academy in Port Kennedy and Hilton’s Judo Ryu, Jordon said he loved the competition, the skills and the physical conditioning.

READ NOW“It is important for me to keep having a level of success and achieving to keep me on track for my goal of one day reaching the Olympics,” he said.
“Any loss I see as a lesson to help me learn and improve.”
Nominated for Community Newspaper Group’s Local Sports Stars awards, Jordon has one piece of advice for anyone looking to start judo.
“Everyone has to start somewhere, so just start,” he said.
“Understand that it is a personal journey and that it will not always go your way.”
