Community Connect - Terms & Conditions

This contract sets out the terms on which Community Newspaper Group Limited (hereafter “CNG” or “we”), a subsidiary of West Australian Newspapers Limited, will provide the advertiser (hereafter “advertiser” or “you”) with a Community Connect Membership package.

1. PACKAGES

1.1 Community Connect benefits include access to Rewards program, invites to seminars and networking events, research and insights, regular E-newsletters, inter-member deals and more; and apply to all advertising packages, excluding Toolbox Silver and Bronze only.

2. TERM AND CHARGES

2.1 The term of your Community Connect membership is fixed for first 17 weeks and is then perpetual thereafter, subject to you being able to terminate in writing not less than thirty days prior to the relevant publication booking deadline for run of paper advertisements.

2.2 CNG reserves the right to increase the rate up to 7% without written authorisation from the advertiser or any of their agents or representatives. Any increase will be pre-forecast 30 days prior via email, note to accounts rendered, website, advertising in publications or other means deemed appropriate.

2.3 A Bronze, Silver, Gold & Diamond Membership Package must appear within the set publication(s) according to the contract. Multi paper options are available to purchase to allow for extra newspapers. Any changes to the initial schedule, including but not limited to change of publication/s, will attract a 15% admin fee applied to one weeks’ price, per change.

2.4 Package sizes must reach the minimum weekly column centimetres and rate or weekly minimum spend requirement mentioned in this contract. Advert sizes are to be booked as per the package option only.

2.5 Preferred pages in print publications can be secured by paying an additional charge, equal to the surcharge amount calculated on the casual rate of that advert in the requested publication/s.

2.6 The 15% preferred page loading for features (within newspapers or residential magazines only) can be secured to weekly, fortnightly or monthly features, with the 15% loading applicable to each feature.

2.7 Advertisers are permitted to change their advertising copy for print and digital bi-monthly, therefore a maximum of 6 times annually. Any additional changes must be pre-approved and a cost may be incurred.

2.8 Community Connect digital advertising will run weekly in conjunction with weekly print advertisement. The digital advertising must run across a minimum of 1 digital zone per package. We reserve the right to place digital advertising into adjacent zones and/or PerthNow geo-targets to customer location as per availability.

2.9 The initial set up of any digital advertisement will be charged to the advertiser or may be waived at our discretion.

2.10 Monthly invoices will be based on the number of weeks or editions that month i.e. either 4 or 5 editions each month.

3. ADDITIONAL TERMS

Print

3.2 Without limiting your obligation in https://advertising.sevenwestmedia.com.au/terms-conditions/to comply with all laws, trades’ advertisers must show their license number on adverts. This applies to plumbers, electricians, gasfitters, air conditioning, builders, painters (jobs over $1000) and asbestos removal.

3.3 Our print publications are distributed via bulk drops, roll and throw and by area walkers. We cannot guarantee all will be distributed on the same day of publication together with and not excluding failed distribution. We do not guarantee that every household within the agreed distribution area will receive the publication, if at all. Reasons for non-distribution could include and are not limited to, weather conditions, right of access, Australia Post only and other contributing factors. Household delivery rates can be affected by unallocated areas. Any media mail will be collated with other media mail and distributed within the course of normal scheduled distributions. We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by or contributed to by any delay, loss, omission, or misplacement of media mail during the delivery process. We do not give credit or refund for areas that may not receive delivery of either the publication or media mail or combination of both.
