The entries are also helping to assist the Birtwistle Local Studies Library with its Picture Armadale photograph collection.

Helen Gordon took out the top spot in the competition with Town and Country Fruit and Veg – Old Shop/New Shop, Christy Wintle was second with River Road Deli, and Julie Beatson came in third with Alan Beattie’s Meat.

Kerry Faulkner received an honourable mention for Norm’s Lunchbar.

The winning photographs will be on display at the Armadale Library until Friday, June 23.
